Temperatures are rising, and the idea of a cruise vacation sounds more relaxing than ever. Even if you head out on a cruise every year, you still have many options for a brand new experience this year.
Why?
Because over 10 new cruise ships are turning heads and making wonderful memories in 2018. Which sounds like your favorite?
Carnival Horizon
The Carnival Horizon has exciting amenities and features for everyone in the family! Your favorite readers can enjoy the Seuss at Sea (a Dr. Seuss water park!) right on board. Movie buffs and action fans can see the latest movies in the ship’s IMAX Theatre. Adults can kick back at Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse/Brewhouse, a restaurant and brewery created with the help of Guy Fieri. Another option for foodies is a Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant, the first of its kind on a Carnival cruise.
Can you get to all of the fun activities while you’re at sea?
Ponant’s Le Lapérouse and Le Champlain
Want a smaller, more luxurious experience? It’s time to book a flight to France! French cruise line Ponant is offering expedition yachts that take guests around the world, including the Arctic and Africa. One of the coolest features of these luxury cruises is the ability to watch sea life while on board. The Blue Eye Lounge includes underwater cameras and microphones for guests to really see what is down below.
Norwegian Bliss
If you prefer a larger ship and have Alaska on your bucket list, you’re in luck! The Norwegian Bliss is spending its first summer at sea. Over 4,000 guests can enjoy the views on the ship’s large observation decks. The top level of the Norwegian Bliss also has a water park, go-kart track, and a ropes course to keep little ones moving all day long. Guests who are already familiar with Norwegian cruise line will enjoy this new addition.
MSC Seaview
If you follow cruise news, this ship may sound familiar. It’s the identical twin to the MSC Seaside, which was named in Miami earlier this year. The MSC Seaview gives guests a more fresh feel with a 360°promenade that wraps around the entire ship. Guests who want to be VIPs have the chance to score all-inclusive drinks and 24-hour butler service.
Scenic Eclipse
The Scenic Eclipse is another small but luxurious ship. The all-inclusive prices are available for the 228 guests on the ship. Enjoy a wide selection of food from around the world, including Italian and Pan Asian dishes. After a good meal and a good day of cruising, guests can visit the ship’s 5,000-square-foot spa. All of the rooms on the Scenic Eclipse are spacious; options start at 344-square-feet. The Owner’s Penthouse Suite is 2,500-square-feet, and has two bedrooms for a family or group that wants a true luxury experience.
Enjoy a Cruise in 2018 – But Take Care of Yourself
New cruise ships are exciting, but understand that there are often kinks that need to be worked out when ships are on their maiden voyages – or even in the first year or two of operation.
If you do get injured on a cruise, (or if you have experienced an injury on a cruise previously,) know that you may be able to get compensation for your injuries by contacting a Florida personal injury lawyer that specializes in cruise injuries.
